We asked series producer Juliette Murray-Topham, of Raw TV, what viewers can expect to see in the coming weeks. Here’s what she told us …

How will Series 5 differ from previous series?

It will be longer, with new characters, a new voice … it’ll be just better!

What’s the secret of the show’s success?

I think the series resonates with everyone. After all, 75% of the population has flown somewhere.

How long does it take to make a series of HBBA?

The series takes 26 weeks and there are 22 members of the team. We film 700 hours but only six hours make the series.

If you could do any job at Heathrow, which would you choose?

Passenger Experience Manager (PEM) – it’s different every day and you’re dealing with that wonderful species the human holidaymaker. Or Senior Airfield Officer – I’ve become a plane geek doing this show and I LOVE being on the airfield.

Have you been truly surprised by anything you’ve seen at Heathrow?

Heathrow ALWAYS copes, be it emergency landings, medical emergencies, protests, packed terminals … nothing is beyond the 78,000-strong staff to sort.

Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met or seen at Heathrow?

Hillary Clinton was a good spot, but we would love to film with the love of Sue’s life, Tom Jones.

Without giving anything away, why should people watch Series 5?

It’s bigger and better with NEW fabulous characters and behind-the-scenes footage of areas not seen before.
