Hailing from Croxteth, Liverpool, Joe Slater delivers a smooth, saturating blend of rock, blues and soul that is beyond his youthful years.
Drawing inspiration from The Beatles, The Boss and Oasis, Joe’s songwriting and unique vocals take listeners on a journey comprised of energetic singalongs and anthemic ballads, full of interior and reflective moments.
2018 saw Joe perform at prestigious events including the first anniversary of The Ned, the opening of Soho House White City, the Hard Rock Cafe stage at the Isle of Wight Festival, The Cornbury Festival and The View from The Shard.
He also entered the studio with Grammy-winning producer Kipper at the world-famous State of the Ark studios, joined by a live band whose members have toured alongside music royalty such as Paul McCartney, Adele and Grace Jones.
The resulting EP oozes charisma that speaks to young and old alike. Rainbow takes inspiration from an Elvis Presley interview, while Lady is Joe’s emotive and heartfelt homage to the guitar that brings him his wage.
“Lady carries such absolute conviction you can’t help but get swept up in its gravitational pull. He’s clearly a man on a major musical mission” – Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6 Music
